Community through the ages

Through time, the Lenton Community has been influenced by many factors. From the 12th to 16th century, the Lenton Priory would have towered over the local community and must have been a spectacular sight. As well as physically dominating the locality, it must have had a massive influence on day-to-day lives in terms of trade.

Post 16th century, the community would have been increasingly affected by Nottingham as an expanding and successful town then city.
