All good community projects leave something lasting and of benefit to the community. The Lenton Priory Project is no exception! We intend to leave the community better connected to their local heritage with a greater understanding of how history and their local environment are interlinked.
Here’s how we’ll do it…
Installation of onsite Interpretation Boards.
Archaeological reports will be hosted on this website and submitted to Nottingham Urban Archaeological Database, English Heritage, the Nottingham City Council Archaeologist and all project partners.
Finds will be archived in the Brewhouse Yard museum, with a small selection on display in the Priory Church of St Anthony.
A Lenton Priory Archaeology booklet will be available from the Priory Church of St Anthony, as well as distributed through Nottingham City Council's Museum Services and sold at venues such as Wollaton Hall, the Castle and the City of Caves.
Of course, we’ll continue to develop this website as the story unfolds.
